Many of you are already familiar with the blog "These Days In French Life" by Riana Lagarde and her food blog "Garlic Breath", but for those of you who aren't- boy are you missing out! Riana is a constant inspiration to me and has, over the course of the past year, become a good friend as well. Although she is a professional writer for magazines, you know- the kind that get PAID, she agreed to write me a few articles for Stitch And Boots in exchange for a box of goodies from me such as oilcloth, seeds, and any other useful things I might have to send her.
There are many things I love about Riana and here are a few of them:
Now, I would like all of you to go read her article because it has some fantastic information on how to preserve citrus and even includes a couple of recipes for using your preserved citrus.
There are many things I love about Riana and here are a few of them:
- She is passionate about the people and activities she loves. Nothing tepid about this woman.
- She is warm to curious strangers. Ask her questions, engage in friendly discourse, share with her. I was drawn to how open and warm she is.
- She will give all naggy, critical, annoying, peckish, and mean people a famous trimming if they bring their negativity to her notice. So don't be rude.
- She is the most intuitive person I know. Her connection with the earth and other people is very strong and she can see things most people can't.
- She is endlessly curious- if she wasn't she couldn't have embarked on her no shopping adventure almost two years ago. She is always ready to learn something new and try different methods and never afraid to admit when she's stumped, and then try something again. This is one of those qualities I value more than most in any person.
- She's a spitfire. A wonderful evolving fiesty, smart, talented, woman. Completely on fire with life and not taking any guff.
Now, I would like all of you to go read her article because it has some fantastic information on how to preserve citrus and even includes a couple of recipes for using your preserved citrus.

I looked at both of Riana's blogs and I couldn't find the article on citrus... could you kindly tell me which blog is it in, and what day/year? I'd love some additional citrus possibilties other than the marmalade and candied peel I already make - (though those are tasty)

Maybe when you recommend an article in "Stitch and Boots" you might put a link to that website? Judging by the previous commenter, it looks like people may not realize they need to go to YOUR other site. It is also easier for us to get there if we don't have to open a new tab and type the address in . . . Maybe a link in the phrase "I would like all of you to go read her article" or something? Just a thought.

It's in there now, refresh your page and it should show up.
Dang, maybe I need more coffee?
